Sales Policy for Sunshine Lops and Dwarfs
Before you buy
Before purchasing any of our rabbits, please read our sales policy, do your research on the web and ask lots and lots of questions. Search Facebook for Holland Lop and Netherland Dwarf Facebook groups, read any of dozens of books on rabbits and make certain you have the time, space and energy to add one of these sweet animals to your life.
We spend a lot of time and energy trying to talk people OUT of buying a rabbit
Owning a rabbit is a long-term commitment as pet rabbits can live for 8-12 years. Although they make wonderful companion animals, rabbits require a lot of time, love, and care but owning a rabbit is not for everyone.
Committing oneself to raising a rabbit includes thinking ahead if your rabbit will still be important to you through the many stages of your life like raising a family, new babies, acquiring dogs, cats or other pets, moving, changing jobs and even replacing your bunny for another hobby or interest. Consider things like allergies to hay or pet hair you may have, the costs to upkeep a rabbit and even how your rabbit will mesh with other pets and even children you may or may not even have yet.
How to Adopt
Sunshine Lops and Dwarfs rabbits are sold only to those who have read this sales policy, have completed our adoption form and are considered a good match for adopting a Sunshine Lops and Dwarfs rabbit.

Read this page completely to understand our process and what our policies are.
Step 2:
Your next step is to fill out our adoption form to be considered for a Sunshine Lops and Dwarfs rabbit. Although we freely accept adoption applications, we are very selective about who we believe will be best suited for our rabbits. Please don’t be upset if you want one of our rabbits, apply early and are not selected. There are many, many factors which go into our decisions and we make no guarantees that anyone who applies will simply be accepted.
If your intention is to raise your Sunshine Lops and Dwarfs rabbit outdoors, there is no need to apply. We breed and raise all of our rabbits indoors and want them to be treated the same in their new home environment therefore we reserve the right to refuse any sale regardless of reason.

Once approved for adoption, choose your rabbit and pay in full to reserve.
What to know before you apply
A Sunshine Lops and Dwarfs rabbit cannot be reserved until they are at least 8 weeks of age at a very minimum.
No Sunshine Lops and Dwarfs rabbit will leave our rabbitry until it is at least 8 weeks of age; no exceptions so don’t ask.
We do not sell our rabbits to anyone who is under 18 years of age. If you are under the age of 18, a parent must complete the application, provide payment and also be present at the time of delivery.
Payments
We only accept payment via Apple Pay, Zelle, Venmo, Cash App and PayPal (family and friends).
We do not accept cash or checks of any kind.
All prices are non-negotiable so again, please don’t ask. All rabbits must be paid in full when reserved. All payments are non refundable.
Once you have been contacted that your application has been approved and you have selected your rabbit, we must receive 100% of the purchase price in order to reserve your rabbit(s).
Until complete payment is received for any rabbit, that rabbit remains for sale to any approved buyer. We do not hold rabbits while awaiting payment. Once your payment is made in full, your rabbit’s listing will be removed from our website and will no longer be available to any other buyer.
Sunshine Lops and Dwarfs does reserve the right to cancel any order and refund in full, any sale we deem necessary.
Your Pick Up Day
No rabbits can be delivered before they are at least 8 weeks of age.
Before your rabbit is ready for delivery, Sunshine Lops and Dwarfs will contact you to set a time and location for delivery at a local, public, transaction-safe location to deliver your rabbit(s).
For health and safety reasons, we do not allow pick up at our location.
If you cannot stick to your bunny’s pick up date when your rabbit is ready for delivery, you will be charged a nightly boarding fee of $2 per night for the first five nights. After the fifth night you will be charged our standard boarding fee of $15 per day and $10 extra per night, for each additional rabbit.
Boarding fee payments must be made in full before pick up. If you fail to pick up your bunny on the pick up date and do not notify us within 48 hours to arrange a new pick up date, the rabbit(s) will be placed up for adoption again and you will forfeit any payment.
Rabbit Health
All Sunshine Lops and Dwarfs rabbits sold are in good health to the best of our knowledge. Nonetheless, once any rabbit leaves our care, we cannot guarantee its continued health and will not be held responsible, financially or otherwise for any illness or death of your purchased rabbit(s).
We advise each adopting parent to schedule a visit to a veterinarian who is experienced with rabbits and can provide a baseline checkup and evaluation of your rabbit in the event your rabbit needs to return for any additional care.
Pet Quality Rabbits
A Sunshine Lops and Dwarfs Pet Quality Rabbit DOES NOT come with a pedigree. Instead, a birth certificate will be provided with the rabbit’s name, parents’ names and date of birth.
Pricing of Pet Quality Rabbits varies depending on age, color, temperament, and other various factors.
Show and Brood Quality Rabbits
Our bunnies are purebred and have pedigrees but the pedigree will only be granted to an approved, registered breeder that is working toward the Standard of Perfection. A birth certificate will be provided with the rabbit’s name, parents’ names, and date of birth for those who are not approved for a pedigree. Always remember that a rabbit is judged on its type and NOT its pedigree.
Pricing of Show and Brood Quality Rabbits will depend on age, winnings, lines, show/brood potential, temperament, and other various factors.
A rabbit is labeled as a show/brood quality because it has no known disqualifications. Show Quality Rabbits are not guaranteed to win shows and Brood Quality Rabbits are not guaranteed to produce desirable kits.
Sunshine Lops and Dwarfs reserves the right to make changes to its sales policy at any time without any other notice to applicants, customers or potential customers.
